Annie is in her second year as a master’s student in the physics department. Her master’s thesis investigates how grader assessment feedback (i.e. a score, letter grade, comments, etc.) affects student self-regulation (a student’s ability to monitor and control their own thoughts). Annie has developed, administered, and is now analyzing a survey given to students in introductory physics. Annie is also the Lead Teaching Assistant for the reformed PHYS 2A course where she is focusing on improving her responsive teaching techniques. She will be moving on to Foothill College in Los Altos as a tenure track physics instructor in the fall 2016.
