Most people do not associate Physics with Kinesiology. However, as a Kinesiology major, Physics Education Research has provided a pathway for me to investigate ways students are motivated to accomplish their individual course objectives. I believe this information is significant and useful in a variety of settings that goes beyond Physics. As an aspiring Physical Therapist, I plan to incorporate this knowledge when encouraging patients’ rehabilitations.

Currently, I assist Annie Chase with research that focuses on the effects of grader assessment feedback on student self-regulation. Also, I facilitate discussion labs as a Learning Assistant in an introductory college-level Physics course at San José State University. Outside of academics, I aided the formation of the SJSU Women’s Water Polo Club as Treasure. I value the unique opportunities the SJSUPERGROUP gives me and enjoy interacting with its intelligent members.
